George Pringle Elementary School - École Élémentaire George Pringle is a dual track English and French Immersionschool with Kindergarten to Grade 6 classes.  George Pringle is located in the heart of Westbank, B.C., very nearHighway 97, close to businesses and churches, and adjacent to the Westbank Town Centre Shopping Area.
The French Immersion catchment area is from Peachland to Trader’s Cove on the Westside of Okanagan Lake near Kelowna B.C.  The student population on March 30, 2009 contained 225 French Immersion Students and 207 English students, for a total of 432 students.  

The school is in its sixth year of existence and occupies a former secondary school campus.
 
The school also is home to the Westside Operations Department, Westside Education Support Services Team, Le Petit Hibou Preschool, StrongStart Program and the High Five Westside Literacy Intervention Team.  The facility features a Music room, Theatre, and Secondary sized Gymnasium.  

The school is working on the following three School Planning Council goals:
·       To Improve Student Achievement in Literacy
·       To Improve Student Achievement in Numeracy
·       To continue to develop student responsibility
The school has adopted many creative strategies to help students reach their academic potential.

Friday March 5th is the last day for September registrations. A birth certificate is required for all registrations.

Recycling Program
George Pringle is involved in an going contest through Encorp. The contest runs all year and encourages students to bring recyclables to the school as a way of fundraising. We are in competition with other schools of our size and our goal for this year is to collect 40,000 containers and raise $2,000. Please click on the link for further information

StrongStart Program
StrongStart is a free drop-in preschool program for children aged five and under and their parents, grandparents, or care providers. The StrongStart centre at George Pringle runs from 9am - 12pm daily. For further information please click on the link below.
